Maeve Richard is senior partner and the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practice leader at LeaderFactor. She is actively involved in the Silicon Valley Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion community. Maeve advises for and not for profit companies and coaches leaders and groups about DEI challenges.

She has experimented with ways to engender close and high trust communities of DEI practitioners. She served as SoFi’s first Head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, where she designed and implemented structures that enabled the company to become more inclusive and onboard an increasingly diverse workforce.

As Assistant Dean and Director of the Career Management Center at Stanford Graduate School of Business, she leveraged emerging technologies to improve and scale career development programs and resources to MBAs and alumni. Her corporate roles include serving as CFO of Arteris, where she was responsible for finance, accounting, control, and human resources functions.

While CFAO of Stupski Foundation, she led mission support areas of finance, human resources, and information technology. As CFO and COO of Progress Investment Management Company, she revamped finance, human resources, operations, information technology, and administration functions.

At McAfee, she served as VP Treasurer and directed worldwide cash, investments, debt, risk, insurance, and credit and collections management. In addition, Maeve has held varying positions of increasing responsibility in corporate finance, relationship management, and treasury at SRI International, JP Morgan, Levi Strauss & Co., and Sun Microsystems.

Maeve earned an MBA from Stanford and a B.A. with high honors in Political Economy from the University of California at Berkeley. She was a Youth for Understanding exchange student to Germany and a Rotary Foundation Graduate Fellow at the Universitat Heidelberg. Current board service includes: Board Member of Children’s Health Council; Vice-Chair and Advisory Board Member, Stanford Student Enterprises, Board Member Celebration Tabernacle;

Former service includes: Stanford Parents Advisory Board member; Investment Committee member of the Board of Dignity Health; Advisory Board member of BUILD Silicon Valley; Board Chair and Board Member of the Community Bank of the Bay; Board member of the West Coast chapter of the National Conference of Community and Justice; CFO, Treasurer and Board member of Wellspring; Officer of the San Francisco chapter of GSB Alumni Association. She has volunteered and served on numerous committees promoting education and diversity and inclusion at Walter Hays, Menlo School, Peninsula Bridge, College Track, Junior League of San Francisco, Menlo Park Presbyterian Church and New Beginnings Community Church.
