Psychological Safety is Built Through The 4 Stages.
Teams progress through four successive stages of psychological safety as they satisfy basic human needs. These are fundamental human needs that exist across demographics, psychographics, nations, and cultures.
Stage 1 Inclusion Safety: Do you feel included as a member of your team?
Stage 2 Learner Safety: Do you feel safe to learn and make mistakes?
Stage 3 Contributor Safety: Do you feel safe to contribute as much as you can in your role?
Stage 4 Challenger Safety: Do you feel safe to speak up and challenge the status quo?
